上周四，LiveChinaMusic再次邀请到三支凭极佳的音乐叙事性与旋律驱动而闻名的乐队。同我们一如既往的演出一样，我喜欢邀请一些不仅对观众来说新鲜，而且（有时）对我自己而言也是新鲜的乐队。这回请来的外地人乐队就是我的全新体验——他们将乡村蓝调、摇摆不定的另类摇滚同独立音乐混合在一起，散发出一些松弛但又锋锐的魅力——甚至还翻唱了宋冬野和Carsick Cars。同时，The Pump完全超出我的预期——他们的声音已经发展得丰富而细腻，非常抒情；其编曲既让人惊讶也让人着迷——很抓耳，但又是以一种意想不到的方式。最后，飞行游戏——他们又一次踏上了舞台，听起来更细腻紧凑、更有厚度，更棒了。说真的，他们是上海最好的乐队之一。总而言之，又是一个伟大的夜晚；再次感谢所有的乐队，感谢育音堂和所有前来支持的朋友们。

LiveChinaMusic was back at it again last Thursday as wet invited a trio of bands known for their melodic drive and their ability to inject their music with narrative thrust.

As always with our gigs, I like to showcase bands not only new to audiences but sometimes fresh to my ears and eyes. So this ended up being my first rodeo with acts like Waidiren - bringing some ramshackle wide-eyed charm to their woozy mix of rustic blues, twangy alt rock, and indie stoppers - with even a couple of cheeky covers in there from Song Dongye and Carsick Cars.

Meanwhile, The Pump exceeded all my expectations - capturing a fully-formed sound that offers rich lyricism with arrangements that both surprise and engage - catchy as all hell but in ways I didn’t expect. 

Last but not least, The Flying Game - who once again are sounding tighter, heftier, and better every time they step onto the stage. Seriously, one of Shanghai’s finest. 

All in all, a great evening. Thanks once again to all the bands, to Yuyintang and to all the folks who came out to support.
